Where abouts are you from? There is a fantastic hobby shop in Adelaide where they sell kits/mods for kettles. The expensive ones come from Japan I think but there are some pretty cheap ones from China. One kettlepimper I met from Switzerland sent my mates and I a kit, top quality and not that expensive.
Let me know.

I'm up in Brisbane. The scene up here is pretty big but nobody stocks kits for the older 'classic' kettles. There was a guy selling Japanese kits including ones for Kambrook but he went out of business due to all the cheap Chinese copies flooding the market. Does the Adelaide hobby shop stock older kits?

Hi Ben,
I am heading there on Saturday, so I will let you know if he stocks 'Classic' kits, I am doubtful though.

No need. Got a complete kit the other day from some farmer who's had a pimped Kambrook on blocks in his shed for the past twenty years. He'd been meaning to donate it to the National Kettle Museum in Canberra but never got round to it. Needs some work so I managed to beat him down to $10,000. Came with all the service books and a box of spares. Solid! Thanks for your offer though :)
