Posted by Jason Mauei on 30 January 2009 at 11:30am — No Comments

Many people are struggling to stay fit and healthy, and struggle to lose weight. I would honestly recommend this to anyone, so feel free to read this if you don't know about it yet. Over the past few years the Acai Berry has been getting a considerable amount of exposure for weight loss programs. But Where To Buy Acai Berry from the right place? Most Acai Berry products are NOT made with 100% pure Acai Berries, nor are they freeze dried rapidly soo…

The Influences of our Kettle - Nitro :-)

Posted by Alex & Amanda on 2 September 2008 at 2:22pm — No Comments

Alex and myself thought it would be great to throw a little of both of our cars into the kettle. Alex’s love for audio and TV’s, my love for nitrous and airbags . So we came up with a compromise. We first approached Brian @ Probag to see if he thought it was possible to bag a kettle – he had a chuckle then said “ive done a trolley so why not”. So the Kettle journey begun... it headed down to Dapto for the suspension overhaul. Two days later it returned – bouncin’ n rollin all over the place. Th…

Aug 29 - Gold Coast / Labrador Skatepark

Posted by The PMK Van on 30 August 2008 at 7:00pm — No Comments

Friday was a public holiday on the Gold Coast, the skate parks and beaches were all deserted as everyone celebrating their day off at the Gold Coast Show. There was no better way to finish the tour than the largest community event held on the Gold Coast.

Posted by The PMK Van on 28 August 2008 at 6:30pm — No Comments

As we rolled into Brisbane (Aka Brisvagas - as the locals like to call it) the season was still classified as winter, however when the temperatures hit 30 degrees, it certainly didn’t feel like winter. Everyone had smiles on their faces and it’s easy to see why, with the weather looking to remain consistent all week!…

It was nothing but sunshine on the Gold Coast, as we visited Pizzey Skate Park. It wouldn’t have been a true Gold Coast experience if we didn’t visit some of the popular theme parks. Sea World and Dreamworld certainly brought back some early childhood memories, and it was times like these I wish I was still a kid.…

Posted by The PMK Van on 27 August 2008 at 6:30pm — No Comments

Market day was a little crazy at Lismore University. The student’s set-up stalls and local bands played in front of a large university crowd, adding to the atmosphere on the day. The feedback from the locals was astounding. Many thanked us for taking the time to visit the area, and mentioned that they rarely get included on such a cool tour.

Sunday proved to be another picture perfect day as we travelled around Sydney and Darling Harbor. We eventually pulled up on a grassy area in the middle of Centennial Park. Bondi Beach was the place to be on Saturday as we rocked up early to check out the morning surf. Young skaters, surfers and bladders came out of nowhere making the most of the fine weekend weather conditions and carving up the concrete walls at Bondi Skate Park. Many of the local Grommets took time out from ripping up the park to hang out at the van snack on some noodles!…

Thursday 14/Aug Despite the icy cold temperatures, most of those who were brave enough to hit the slopes came over to check out the van. If it wasn’t for the warm cups of noodles, I would have suffered from a serious case of frostbite during the day. Everyone was exited to know we would be on the mountain over the weekend. With the weather conditions on the improve, hopefully we can unveil the PlayStation3 and LCD. Friday 15/Aug Friday was the 39th consecutive day below zero at t…

We look forward to finishing Melbourne and tearing up the slopes at Hotham.

St Kilda and Port fans were very appreciative of the lunchtime samples on their way to the Telstra Dome, the crowd was a little more tame then at the MCG. Once the game kicked off we moved the activity to Abbotsford Park, located directly across the road from the Melbourne Stencil Festival. We were able to experience the true Melbourne with the area swarming with young teenagers and Melbourne underground art community.

The Essendon Vs Melbourne AFL match between the two Melbourne heavy weights was sure to be a big one! I couldn’t tell whether the rumble was coming from the crowd cheering for their favorite team or just the rumble of the spectator stomachs as they pilled up for a free cup of noodles. Melbourne Museum was the first stop on the Melbourne leg of the Fantastic Tour, a big thanks to the Melbourne Museum Security for allowing us to park the van inside the car park. Located in the Carlton Gardens in Melbourne, it is the largest museum in the Southern Hemisphere, and it was easy to see why the area was full of many young tourists and Melbourne locals on their last week of holidays. The large open reserve was made up of plenty of parents and children enjoying community events or activities. We had a minor issue with the hot water system at the start of the day, however I was quick to fix the problem, allowing the activity to run smoothly for the rest of the day.
